A note from Carol...
I am thrilled to have this opportunity to share my work with you through my new line of table linens! I have spent the better part of my life as a quilter, a doll maker, and a dinnerware designer - always under other artist’s names.
Eight years ago I decided to take a risk: I quit my job - and took up oil painting full time! Before long I had ten galleries representing my work - selling paintings here in the USA and in Europe.
An old friend who owns a textile company in India saw my paintings and asked me to design a line of table linens for them. The rest is history; you can see the fruits of that labor here, on this website. I have always loved textiles and have collected them from a young age. Carol Maguire Home is the culmination of a lifetime of creative endeavors.
On my tags you will find the saying, “If I am not me then who will be?,” which is a take on a quote by Henry David Thoreau. I've come to understand that once you believe in yourself, anything is possible.
Inspired by this quote, lots of hard work, and with the love, support and partnership of my daughter Amanda, Carol Maguire Home is now a reality.
